    Hello and welcome!

I'm so glad you found Recipeezy. I hope it helps make one of the more tedious parts of managing daily life a little easier.

I'm Lindsay, and I created Recipeezy to simplify my own routine. I wanted a single place where all of my recipes could live—everything I'd gathered from cookbooks, blogs, Instagram, and family and friends—so I could browse them, choose what to make that week, and build a meal plan from there. I also wanted the app to generate a shopping list automatically, separating the pantry staples I usually keep on hand from the items I'd actually need to pick up at the store.

As a web developer by trade, I spent a long time trying to build the app I kept imagining. But weekends are short, and as much as I love web development, I didn't want to spend my free time doing more of what already fills my workweek.

    Then along came AI.

With its help, I was finally able to build a tool that saves me time on meal planning, makes recipes easier to find, and helps me cut down on food waste at home. Now I'd love to share it with you.

Even with AI speeding up the process and lowering the cost, building and maintaining Recipeezy still takes real time and money. My hope is to keep it free for as long as I can. If the time or expense ever outgrows what I can sustain, I may need to introduce a fee down the road—and I want to be upfront about that. Honestly, that would be a good problem to have, because it would mean Recipeezy is genuinely useful to people beyond me.

For now, Recipeezy is donation-based. If you find it helpful, please keep in mind that there are ongoing monthly costs to keep the site running, plus time spent improving it. If you have the means and would like to support the project, there's a donation link below.

Plus, transferring all your recipes into your Recipeezy collection will take time. Therefore, you need time to learn the application as well as time to see if you actually like using it. I know it is a tool I have found very helpful, but everyone is different. Please utilize the tutorials I've put together below to help you learn how to use the app more quickly.

    Thank you for being here.
